Issuance of residence permits to owners of property in Greece
Due to the new Law 4146/2013
Residence permits of five (5) years are issued to third country citizens who:
– Intend to invest in real estate property in Greece or
– Own and possess real estate property(ies)
• either personally or
• through a legal entity whose shares belong to them in their entirety
– Conclude for a period of at least 10 (ten) years a lease contract of hotel accommodation or furnished tourist residences
• Minimum contractual value of the property: 250.000 €
• The residence permit may be renewed for the same duration ( five years ).
• The investors can be accompanied by the members of their family as it is defined by art. 54 of Law 3386/2005. The family members may be granted a personal residence permit that is renewed and/or expires concurrently with the residence permit of the sponsor ( property owner )
BENEFITS
•The investor may stay continuously in Greece for the whole duration of the residence permit
•The investor may travel to other Schengen countries without a visa, but his/her stay in those countries cannot exceed 90 days in each 6-month period.
•The investor has access to health or education services, just like any Greek citizen.
